RIVER RULES – WATER SENSE

Glass and Styrofoam are not allowed in the Guadalupe River. Wear shoes that can be fastened securely. T-shirts, shorts or a swimsuit are the general attire of choice. Secure eyeglasses. Wear sunscreen. You’ll get wet, so bring an extra set of clothes and shoes to wear after the trip. A plastic medium-size ice chest (48 quart) will fit in a canoe or raft or can be pulled behind you in an extra tube. You’ll want to bring something to eat and drink for the down river trips. Bring a little money along, as there are some businesses along the way that sell food and provisions. Lock valuables and anything you do not want to lose or get wet in your vehicle. We hold car keys. Pets are not allowed in any equipment. It is your responsibility to read, understand and observe all rules, regulations and laws pertaining to outdoor and water recreation. All boats are required by law to have a life jacket per person on board. Bring your own or you can rent one of ours. Life jackets are provided with raft and canoe rentals. We recommend that everyone wear a life jacket while in the river. All children and poor swimmers need to wear a life jacket
Please, help us keep the river clean. Stow trash back in your cooler or ask for a mesh litter bag when you get your rental equipment. Respect private property. Litter barrels and port-a-potties are located along the river for your use. River patrol personnel and emergency medical services are available for your safety and convenience and to enforce the law. Car keys and eye glasses are the number one thing lost on the river. Once they hit the water they're gone. Secure glasses and leave keys on land.
