Tube Rentals
A 10-minute walk to an upstream bridge, gives you a 1 mile float trip on the Tube Course, back to Whitewater Sports. The Tube Course also referred to as the Horseshoe on the Guadalupe River because of its shape, has been the tubing place of choice for three generations of Texans and their families. Along the way, frolic with the ducks, shoot the rapids, pass majestic cliffs and join in the fun as many times as the day allows. Tubes are due in before closing, on the day of rental.
No reservations are needed to tube. We have many and try not to run out of tubes.
All of our tubes are big, truck size inner tubes. Each tube carries one person. While sitting in the tube, turn backwards and paddle with your arms to position yourself in the water, change your direction, or get to the side of the river. All of our tubes have covers and bottoms, which gives you a seat to sit in and separates your seat from the rocks in the river. Tubes with bottoms are very popular and are a good option for a child or for an adult tubing with a child on his lap.
At about 6 years of age, a child gets big enough to be in his own tube. A child can usually maneuver best by lying on his stomach across the top of the tube and paddle as if on a surfboard. At moderate flows, a child between the ages of 3 and 5 years can sit in the lap of an adult to tube. River flow and experience level need to be taken into account at these ages. Please call for current conditions.
