About Us

Since 1972, Whitewater Sports Tubing has attracted over two million customers from virtually every state in the country. Whitewater Sports offers the best in Custom Tubing trips down the Guadalupe River. From Whitewater there are a few options for your float and should be discussed at the tube shack with an attendant before you head out.

One of our favorite Guadalupe River trips begins when you get in at Whitewater and travel down to the Fourth Crossing. A small bridge marks each crossing, but don’t worry about missing the exit sign. The fourth crossing bridge is clearly marked “4th Crossing.” Exit to the left. At the top of the hill is a phone with tubing company numbers listed so you can let Whitewater employees know when you have exited the river. Please note that it may take anywhere from 15-30 minutes to be picked up depending on traffic. The number of Guadalupe River people tubing and other factors are uncontrollable but on high traffic days, like Saturday, there should be another shuttle arriving shortly.

You can have the free shuttle drive you a short distance up the Guadalupe River, to what is called “The Top of the Horseshoe.” From there you will float around the Horseshoe and back to Whitewater Sports. If that’s not enough you can always go back up to the top of the Horseshoe and float the same course again, or continue on down the Guadalupe to the Fourth Crossing. (See description above.)

Tube Rentals

Our vinyl tubes are light weight and equipped with cup holders and handles to maximize your tubing experience. They stay cool in the Texas heat to create an optimal tubing adventure on the Guadalupe River!

With a piece of plastic tied to the bottom of the tube, your ice chest is secured from falling through the bottom. Also provided is a rope to connect you to the cooler tube so you don’t get separated. Don’t have an ice chest the right size? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. It’s $10 for the tube without the cooler, and $20 for the “water wader” tube with a cooler.

We offer personal Life Jackets at no cost and recommend they be worn. They are worn like a vest, filled with foam and covered in a thin canvas these will easily keep you afloat even if you fall out of the tube.
